Katharyn Feldsott is a lifelong equestrian and dedicated advocate for equine welfare, bringing extensive experience and a unique perspective to the field of equine hydration monitoring. Her journey began when she was eight years old and continues. Katharyn's foundation in horse care and performance management was shaped early on through hands-on experience with her coach, internationally recognized eventer, show jumper, and steeplechase rider Jane Colley.
A pivotal moment in Katharyn's career came at an early age when Colley recognized her exceptional talent at a Pony Club clinic and chose Katharyn to be her protégé. Under Colley’s mentorship, Katharyn immersed herself in the rigorous world of elite equestrian sport, developing the skills and discipline required to care for and train top-level competitors. By age 12, she was exercising horses at the steeplechase track, gaining firsthand knowledge of the precision and dedication needed to maintain peak equine performance. This experience instilled in her a lifelong commitment to equine health, with a particular focus on hydration as a cornerstone of performance and well-being.
As a working student at Downer Hill Farms and later a trainer at Traceland Farms, Katharyn worked extensively with upper-level horses, refining her expertise in high-performance equine management. Katharyn's specialty in restarting OTTBs, solidified her reputation in the industry. Her career further expanded through training opportunities with Olympic-level riders, including Bruce Davidson, strengthening her knowledge of the intricate relationship between hydration, endurance, and equine success. These experiences reinforced her dedication to advancing hydration monitoring solutions that support the health, performance, and longevity of horses.
Katharyn is a mother of two active boys and continues her journey in the equine world as Founder and President of Stable Vitals.
